Womp Womp Wednesday
This first one is a Brenton Duvall track that dropped a few days ago that I have yet to post. I mean at this point me talking about his talent is a little played out because we all know he’s dope. Yeah, very talented, etc. But now he’s kinda like gonna take over real soon. Ya know when artists just up their game to a completely new level? That’s basically what’s going down. Filthy little remix of Neon Hitch stems mixed with a Wiz acapella from “No Sleep.” Étoucez, mes amis.
Recently, I was lucky enough to get in contact with one of the greatest producers in the world, and a personal God of mine, Benny Blanco. He asked if I wanted to do a remix to a new track by Neon Hitch. I said “fucking fuck yes I wanna do a remix.” So he sent me some stems to the new Neon track and threw in some stems from Wiz Khalifa’s “No Sleep” too. Benny Blanco is the shit. Neon Hitch is the shit.

Now I’ll let Skrillex womp your face into oblivion. He’s been coming out with a ton of new stuff that I really dig. I’m not into his super hard stuff–it’s kind of like screamo music. Just doesn’t float my boat. Sinks it real quickly, as a matter of fact. But these two new songs are filthy.
First up we have Disco Rangers 2011. Not sure if the 2011 is in the actual title or if that’s just how it downloaded but I really don’t care at all so it’s all gravy. This one just has a dope groove, and I’m sure would set any rave off. I really like the disco step he uses. He’s great at bringing influences from different genres into this kind of music. I don’t really know what happens starting at 1:55 but it made my brain feel fuzzy. I liked it.

The second one is a remix of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” cleverly titled “Died This Way.” Skrillex does of course slay the song so it makes sense. I can imagine Lady Gaga rocking out to this one. It would be sick to see a live version of this between the two of them at some festival. I love the drop. It’s a little high pitched but that’s Skrillex’s style and I really dig it in this song. But yeah basically keep this one away from children below 6 and the elderly and shit.
