The Vaccines takes Katy Perry’s potentially record-tying song / viral video sensation “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” and injects some characteristic teenage angst in the same vain as the master of teenage angst Morrissey and his band The Smiths. In other, somewhat-related news, Katy Perry’s husband, Russell Brand, has a cat named Morrissey, named after his favorite singer. Go figure.
Fuck it, and if you’re really interested (because I just Google searched it), Katy Perry does indeed have a cat named Kitty Purry.
…The couple also got a kitten together named Krusty, combining the “K” from “Katy” with “Rusty”, Russell’s nickname. Fuck. I know too much about this.
