The Killers, Bloc Party To Release New Albums

Big news this morning. Particularly for those of you right around my age. And by that I mean in the high school class of 2005. (Apparently I’m getting old enough to not flat out announce my age.) Don’t pretend like you don’t remember jamming out to SMIIIILE LIKE YOU MEEEEAN ITTTTT by The Killers. Well, word is out: The Killers are hard at work on a new LP. They will be releasing a full length album in 2012.
In similar news, Kele Okereke and his band, Bloc Party, have also been buzzing about a new album to be released in 2012. Despite all of the Bloc Party breakup rumors that have circulated the blogosphere, it seems the band is sticking around a bit longer and will be providing us with new material to stand alongside their past three albums, Silent Alarm (2005), A Weekend in the City (2007), and Intimacy (2008). Kele has even told the public (well, BBC) that the band has recorded two songs and demoed 17 tracks. He also mentioned that the album “doesn’t sound like anybody else on the planet.” Wait. Really? NOBODY?
So. With that being said, which album are you more excited about?
