The Elected – Bury My In My Rings [Album Review]

Bury Me In My Rings

The Elected, an indie-rock band out of LA, released their 3rd album, Bury Me In My Rings, today. An eclectic batch of songs, this album ranges from soft and sweet in “Time Is Coming” to hazy and mysterious in “Who Are You.” For fans of M. Ward and Blitzen Trapper, this album will be one to keep close by your side. It features a wide range of instruments, my favorite being the bare bones piano playing on “This Will Be Worth It.” In an era of over-produced, over-perfected, over-manipulated modern musical releases, this album is a breath of fresh air and a reminder of the qualities that make music a universally appreciated wonder.
