Telekinesis – Ghosts and Creatures
Telekinesis, the moniker of solo musician Michael Benjamin Lerner, just released a new single called “Ghosts and Creatures” from his upcoming (and third) studio album, Dormarion, to be released via Merge Records. The song is quite stunning, with its echoing bassline, layered vocals, and fuzzy synths. Makes me want to learn all the words of the song as quickly as possible (you know, like the old days, when you’d look up the lyrics online and memorize them by playing the song on repeat while you sang along, reading the lyrics as you went), blast the song in my car, and sing it at the top of my lungs. Maybe even roll the windows down, even though it’s cold outside. Man, things like that make me miss driving to work somedays.
I’m really looking forward to this album release. If Ghosts and Creatures is representative of the whole collection, we’re in for a real treat. Also, I love this album artwork. The abstract art really gets me.
