Who said it’s too late in the year for tropical house? Matoma is back in style with his newest offering “Feeling Right (Everything is Nice)”, featuring Jamaican dancehall vibes from Popcaan and some choice verses from Wale.
Matoma has made a name for himself with a slew of uplifting remixes, including edits of classics by Notorious B.I.G. and Eminem. You would never guess the producer hails from chilly Norway from listening to his tracks – his newest track sounds more at home at your local beachfront party.
Check out the tropical vibes below and get yourself feeling right. A catchy hook from Popcaan and Wale’s solid flow will keep you dancing all night.
What’s better than ringing in the new year with new music? Not much, really. Press play and piss the night away to the best dance bangers of the week.

Keeping the ball rolling, Big Sean drops another MMG collab, this time with fellow XXL Freshman Wale. Just like with “Burn,” his track with Meek Mill from earlier, “Life Should Go” is produced by Key Wane, who graces our ears with some lovely piano. This is definitely my favorite recent-Sean song, he’s getting back to the rapping that made me a fan of his in the first place. No word yet on whether this will be on Sean’s upcoming mixtape, assuming that it releases at all.
Wale dropped off the remix to his hit “Slight Work” from his sophomore album Ambition today. Originally featuring Big Sean, the second-take has verses from the Bad Boy crew: French Montana, the don Diddy, and Ma$e… Yeah, that Ma$e. And listen for yourself, did Ma$e hint at an MMG signing in his verse (Shouts to Mostly Junk Food for spotting that one)?
Tha Homie Spit Spitta aka Curren$y aka the Pilot aka the captain of the Jet Life crew teams up with Wale for his newest release off of of The Stoned Immaculate, which is set to drop on June 5.
Some nice, smooth production here by B!nk, Wale and Spitta both go in on their verses, this one receives high grades de moi. My one caveate here–Wale says being addicted to Barney’s is “g shit.” No, son, it’s not. Da fuck is g about this, Douglas?
We blessed to be here. It’s a blessing for y’all to be here with us
Well said, Whale, well said. Lol see what I did there? PS guys I’m so good at Photoshop look
Maybach Music homeboys Wale and Meek Mill hop on Drake’s jerkin’ jam. Woulda been cooler as a Drake diss track. Common where ya at?
Yoooo! This weekend, America will be in full form as most of the nation’s eye will be fixed on Super Bowl XLVI, which is absolutely proven to provide high-throttle sports action backed by gluttonous consumption of food, drink and expensive advertising.
For anybody else that holds marketing dear to their heart like me (I studied journalism and strategic communication in college,) this weekend is like free porn on cable TV. To tie things into music, it’ll be interesting to see what bands and artists are gonna be featured as the soundtrack to this weekend’s big-budget commercials. For more on this, peep the write up on song placements in commercials by our good friend and fellow blogger Confusion over at Pigeons and Planes.
What are some of your traditions for Super Bowl weekend? Giants or Patriots? Do you love American football? Do you hate American football? What artists would you love to see back a Super Bowl ad?
BONUS: A lot of companies have been previewing their big ads for the weekend on YouTube to get a viral bang for their buck. Here’s my favorite so far, featuring Matthew Broderick parodying his own classic flick, Ferris Beuller’s Day Off. The soundtrack also reprises itself from the original movie–“Oh Yeah” by Yello.
1. “Levels (TheFatRat Remix)” – Aviici
2. “Youth (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix)” – Foxes
3. “Nightchain (Wale X Kavinsky)” – The Hood Internet
4. “¡Holy Guacamole!” – Super Mash Bros
5. “Pictures (GZUS Remix)” – Benjamin Francis Leftwich
I haven’t been too big of a fan of a Wale song in quite a while, to be perfectly honest. But this song right here sounds like the original Wale that I really fell hard for. Of course it’s got the piano in the production, so that’s an automatic plus, but Wale, Meek Mill and Rick Ross all go hard and keep the hip hop honest. I’m definitely giving this a high rating in my iTunes. (Also, you have to love the Rick Ross bark.)
Hit the jump for the lyrics.
Ralph Folarin and Lydia’s main squeeze, Cudder, squashed their beef and used their renewed friendship to lay down a track together. It’s great to see this duo back on their grizzly. Go cop Wale’s Ambition come November 1st.
Dope remix. Maino recruits a bunch of artists for the remix to his Roscoe Dash assisted track “Let It Fly.” I’m not even that big a fan of Jim Jones and I enjoy most of the verses on here. MMG (Wale & Meek Mill) does their thing on here. Roscoe with chorus duties. Maino, in my opinion, is very underrated, so give this bad boy a listen!
But DJ Khaled? Realllllly? Come on son!
Wale has finally reached the Twitter achievement of nabbing 1 million followers. To celebrate the achievement, he lets out a brand new mixtape to act as a warm-up to his sophomore effort, “Ambition,” due out in November (thus the Eleven One Eleven title).
