It’s been a while since we’ve heard from one of my favorites Sam Lachow, not the least reason being my own laziness or inability to post. But this video here for “King Lear” is just awesome. Keeping true to Sam’s trademark sound, it’s a great track to throw into that summer playlist of yours. Check out the video below and make sure to buy the track on iTunes.
I’m pretty sure this should fit nicely into your rotation for those that partake in sandwich eating.
(if you don’t watch How I Met Your Mother, you won’t get this post)
Hopefully this is a bit redundant for you guys. Sammy and his good buddy Raz dropped this more than a week ago, and being the awful blogger that I am I proceeded to not post it until now. The project is classic Lachow: Sam handled the production himself, using his signature horns and guitars and all-around awesome sounds, and the rhymes are there. Raz and Sam both add their unique personalities to the project, and as usual their friends (Magik, Ariana DeBoo, and B Skeez) kill the features. Make sure you follow both Sam and Raz on the Twitter-machine, and download the jawn right here (no f*cked up Dat Piff ID3 tags!!!!).
There are only a few things that can pull me away from rewatching Season 8 of Entourage: practice, free Yuengling (Light, I’m workin’ on my fitness y’all), and a new Sam Lachow video. One of my absolute favorites, Sam is working on a collaborative EP with one of his best friends Raz who, oh by the way, can really rap. The hook is provided by the oh-so uniquely voiced B Skeez, and you can just see how much fun these guys have with each other in the video. It’s a great thing when you get to make awesome music, but I can’t imagine being able to do something that you love and include your friends in it too. 5 Good Reasons is dropping soon, yinz guys.
I’ve been itching to throw a post up for a long time now, but with the school year and the rowing season winding down, needless to say I didn’t have much opportunity to jump on the crazy new tracks that have been dropping in the last couple of weeks. So, I decided to introduce everyone to one of my favorite artists, Sam Lachow.
Sam is from Seattle, but goes to school in NYC. He’s gained a fair following recently, thanks in no small part to the fantastic music videos that he directs himself. On top of this, he produces all of his own music, and just has fun with it, as evidenced by the features from his friends on all of his music. “LittleManBigCity” is a sort-of open letter to Sam’s younger brother Charlie, who is a big part of Sam’s life, and the video itself is fantastically done by Sam. If you dig it, consider buying his album Brand New Bike on iTunes. You can download his latest EP Avenue Music for free below, and make sure you follow on Twitter.
