[ICYMI] Timeline of Meek Mill & Drake Beef

So, in case you missed it, Meek Mill decided to take a shot at (instead of with) Drake. Why? Who the hell knows. Maybe it’s because Drake and Nicki have been linked together in the past (Meek and Nicki are dating)? Maybe it’s because Drake is jew-ish? Maybe it’s because he pretended to be in a wheelchair for so many television years? Or maybe it’s because Drake didn’t buy Meek’s new album (in stores now, go out and cop it before shots are coming your way). Whatever the reason may be, Meek was thirsty. Some think it might of simply been a terribly thought out PR move. Again, who the hell knows, and I’m at the point of this. Even WWE got involved in the beef and took Drake’s side (sidebar: I’m a closet WWE freak). Hit the jump to figure out what exactly happened.

KiD CuDi Premieres New Rap Song

1696459-WZRD-Kid-Cudi-Dot-Da-Genius-617x409

Well, well, well. Look what we have here. Footage of a rap song from CuDi in New York!

People ask CuDi all the time when he will start rapping again. He should blatantly tell those people to fuck off and to appreciate the fact that he’s still making music.

Can’t believe I’m about to do this, but Cudder, my man, if you ever see this, we would really like you to drop a rap project, BUT I’m not complaining about WZRD at all. I appreciate you as an artist (pause).

This video proves why people want him to return to old form.

Amy Winehouse, Dead at 27

Amy Winehouse

Around 4 PM (England time), an ambulance was called to a London apartment after reports of a deceased female. Police arrived and saw that it was 27- year old Amy Winehouse. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the cause of death has not yet been revealed, there is a big chance it was drug related since she battled public drug and alcohol addictions and had been in and out of rehab throughout the years.

As troubled as Amy was, it is sad to see that she could never get the help she needed. It is also tragic how she died so young; it is never a good thing to see someone die at such a young age. There will be a lot of people sat behind their computer saying, “Suprise, suprise” or shit like that, but the fact of the matter is someone on this earth died today, and no one should be celebrating or making light of the situation.

The one good outcome to this horrible outcome is that young rising stars can take a long look at where they are going in life and see that the party lifestyle is not for them (cough cough: Miley). Lindsay Lohan seems to be going down a very similar path, so maybe this is what makes her wake up and see the reality.

Amy made her addictions public by performing drunk and high at her shows and just looking like a wreck. The only thing people could do is feel sorry for her. She was in horrible condition and if it was suicide, I am glad she is out of misery. Be prepared for people to hop on the Amy Winehouse bandwagon and post songs up on FaceBook. Which of course is a good thing that people are remembering her, but it is interesting to see how things play out after someone who has been out of the limelight for a while dies.

To Amy, her friends and family, I am sure many prayers will be sent your way in the near future. It is horrible you had to die so young, Amy. Let this death serve as an example of how not to live; we can all learn a thing or two from this. It is a shame we never got to see the sober Amy Winehouse, and see how her talent progressed. All I know is, there will never be a voice that sounds anything like how Amy’s did.

In honor of Amy, I will hop on the bandwagon for a second and play one of my favorite songs by her.

Kid Cudi on Cover of Z!nk Magazine

Screen-shot-2011-05-05-at-1.34.58-PM1

Kid Cudi is on the cover of the 9th edition of Z!nk Magazine this month. What baffles me is that it’s a picture of him smoking a cigarette.

Cudder, listen: if we’re going to be together, you’re going to need to stick to your promises. First you say you’re going to quit making music. I won’t lie, I wasn’t offended when you broke that promise. Then you say you’re going to stop smoking cigarettes. Looks like you haven’t been too true to that one. Lately you said you’d stop smoking weed. I’m going to go out on a whim here and say….that probably didn’t happen. Just do me one favor, okay? Make good music. I know you talk about your upcoming rock album in this magazine feature; promise me it’ll be good? And stick to that promise? If you can do that for me, I will love you forever.

Love,

Lydia
