Now Playing: Eliza and the Bear, Tel Aviv, and Pale

Now Playing

Over the past few days, I’ve been compiling songs for the next Tape Tuesday. Yesterday, I visited SoundCloud, which turned out to be both a good and bad idea–good, because there I discovered the three talents below, and bad, because it reminded me just how much music is out there. I mean, that’s the crux of what music blogging is: the attempt at finding diamonds in the rough and exposing them to people who tend to like your diamonds. Sometimes it’s just frustrating knowing that there are so many diamonds and so much rough. That probably sounds weird, but it’s true. As for the tunes below, I was honestly just way too excited to share them with you to wait until TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2013.

“The Cave” – Mumford & Sons

I finally got around to ordering this album, Sigh No More, on vinyl yesterday, which I’ve been meaning to do for a while now! Ever since I first heard this song, I haven’t been able to stop listening to it. Matter of fact, I haven’t been able to stop listening to Mumford & Sons in general. Their music is absolutely beautiful, you can sing along to it, their energy is contagious, and don’t even get me started on their magnificent lyrics.

And I’ll find strength in pain, And I will change my ways, I’ll know my name as it’s called again

I HIGHLY recommend that if you like this song, you download the album. My other favorite song of theirs is “Awake My Soul.” The whole album is a must-have, though.
