Jazz Cartier is ringing in the new year with some fresh tunes which we can never resist. “Tempted” could have been a perfect party track to dance to on New Year’s, but who says there isn’t still time to add it to the playlist? This “love” party song will become a hip-hop earworm real quick with its addictive chorus, “Feel like I can’t get enough/ If you keep dancing on me/ Girl, I’ll be tempted to touch“. Jazz Cartier is bound to bring it in 2017 and this one is just the start. Check out the catchy track below.
I am not going to talk about flowers in this writeup. The name of the tape is more of a feeling. This is morning at the beach music. You can start your day with any of the first 13 tracks — preferably in the arranged order. After track 13, the mix veers into darker territory. It is like when the high wears off, and you realize that the summer is coming to an end.
And the flower is dead. Sorry, just needed one flower reference for it all to make sense. And the beginning is like the flower of love, blooming. Ugh, gosh, sorry… two.
I know enough about being high to know you my ultimate drug
As I’ve said before, I’m always here for some new Jazz Cartier. And, finally, we have the video for his recent single, “New Religion.” The track originally dropped just a few hours before Drake famously dropped his If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late album, and I’ve been listening to it track just as much. The Fantavious Fritz-directed video finds Jacuzzi running through the Six, sans woes, and keeping the turn up confined to the living room. Check out the video, and come back here for Jazz’s Marauding In Paradise, due this April.
Jazz Cartier‘s had himself a hell of a few months. Having taken a while off from dropping music, Jazz made a run through the fall with a few hot singles, and keeps that momentum going with the trap-inspired “New Religion.” I’ll tell you right now, as a fan of tracks that make me want to jump on a couch and belt them out, this one is going to be in heavy rotation for the foreseeable future. Jazz’s sophomore effort “Marauding In Paradise” can’t come soon enough.
WOOOOOOO. Jazz Cartier has been quiet for a while now, but today he decided to blow up the spot with his latest single “Set Fire.” The visuals show Jazz doing his favorite (or favourite, since yer boi is from Toronto) thing, and that’s blowing up with his friends, the Get Home Safe crew. Jazz’s frequent collaborator, Lantz, is all over the beat and turned in one of the eeriest efforts you’ve heard in a long time.
Everything’s pointing towards this being the start of something huge for Jacuzzi, so make sure you keep tabs on him and all of Get Home Safe (and if you’re in TO try and get to one of their parties, it’s on my list).
I DON’T GIVE A F*CK
A few months ago we got Jet Planes, and tonight Toronto-native Jazz Cartier debuts the second single to his sophomore project Marauding In Paradise. In “Ataraxia,” Jazz flexes his lyrical muscle over a crispy Michael Lantz beat. If you’ve heard Jazz before, you’ve heard Lantz, and these two seem intent on becoming a force to be reckoned with, a la Drake and 40. Follow Jazz on Twitter, and keep checking back for Marauding In Paradise, coming soon to a SunsetInTheRearview near you. (It’s Car-tee-ay, by the way.)
