“Kids: they dance before they learn there is anything that isn’t music”
― William Edgar Stafford
Flight Facilities just remixed a popular Miike Snow song, managing to tone it down a bit and give it a bit of a summery vibe. Little to say on my end (other than the fact that I’m playing it on repeat), but here’s what Flight Facilities had to say:
We’re nearly at 50K fans and Miike Snow are in the country so we thought we should give something away. We did a mix of their single ‘The Wave’. We finished this back in May and we either missed the deadline or it was rejected. We never actually found out. You be the judge. Thank you to everyone for all your support. We’re only able to keep doing this because you keep listening…
If you’re digging it, go “like” Flight Facilities on Facebook and help them reach 50k fans!
Homeboy D-Why is back with more rap songs. This time he takes a spin on a remix of Flight Facilities‘ “Crave You” by Friendly Fires. Not quite sure if this is a cut from his upcoming tape, Don’t Flatter Yourself, but one things for sure: each of his tracks have been sonically unique. Is D-Why uber-eclectic or still searching for his own sound? I’ll let you decide.
Everybody who is anybody knows who Flight Facilities is–at least from their massive global sensation “Crave You,” which came out two whole years ago. Since then, the Aussie duo has kept busy, releasing another international smash, dropping tons of big name remixes, and touring around the world.
Yesterday, they released a brand new single, which features “something darker, something deeper, and something more mature” and vocals from Hot Chip drummer Grovesnor. I’ve had this on repeat since last night. The music video is really cool, too. Sexiest song of the year right here. LET’S GO!
Take a risk, well that’s all you keep on saying / And the point that I’m relaying is it shouldn’t be like this
I have a little light, I’m gonna let it shine. I’m also going to lay down in an ocean of lotion and listen to The C90s for a month of Sundays. Listening to this song is like getting permission to unwrap one present on Christmas Eve and having that present contain:
- your best friend
- warm brownies
- and a handwritten “I love you” note from God
Check out the C90s Soundcloud for their remixes and chart mixes. Phenomenal!
