Aylen – The Remixtape

Aylen’s been one of my favorite up and coming house DJ’s since I was first introduced to him. He has a sound that just makes me want to stand up from my computer and go ham, no matter what time of day it is or what kind of mood I am when I listen to his music. For his newest release, The Remixtape, Aylen tackles a wide variety of music, from Coldplay to Katy Perry to Lady Gaga to Porter Robinson to Alesso, to show off his varied style. He can make dubstep-esque tracks, like “Do You Miss Me,” “The One That Got Away,” or he can make true house songs, like “Raise Your Hand” and “Reach For Me.”

One thing I like most about Aylen’s work is his clever samples–this is perhaps most evident on his remix of “The Scientist,” where he really does a number on Chris Martin’s vocal and piano part to create something really unique and interesting.

Aylen’s only going to become more popular, so I suggest you become familiar with him. He’s had multiple songs do extremely well on Hype Machine, and I think it’s only a matter of time before he gets a lot more popular. Be on the lookout for future releases from him, and check out the songs streaming below. After that, head over to his website to download the entire new Remixtape–trust me, it’s worth your time.
