[Sponsored Album] Radical Something – We Are Nothing

Radical Something – Looking For Love
We at Sunset have been working closely with Radical Something ever since they formed as a group about four months ago. Since that time, they have grown at a rate that I think has surprised even them. The trio, made of up soulful crooner Josh Cocktail, laidback Cali MC Loggy, and beat master DJ Big Red, has been working hard to produce a unique style. Loggy and Josh go together like PB & J, and Big Red holds them down on the 1′s and 2′s, meshing two artists whose sounds compliment each other’s beautifully.
Today, we’re proud to be sponsoring the release of their first album, We Are Nothing. We are running a contest with this release…I’ll let Loggy introduce it.
So there you have it. All you have to do is click the Facebook like button at the top right corner of this post, give “Lookin For Love” a “heart” as soon as it hits Hype Machine, and comment on this post with your name and email address, and you’ll be eligible to win 1 of the 10 shirts that Radical Something is giving away EXCLUSIVELY to Sunset readers!
Radical Something has released some very solid singles, but this album really did blow my expectations out of the water. Listening to their music makes me wish it was still summer–the vibe they set is perfect for kicking back, enjoying a corona, and forgetting your concerns. In “Radio,” they rap about the possibility of driving down the coast on a lazy summer day, listening to their own songs blasting on FM transmissions…to be honest, that would not surprise me at all. Imagine Jack Johnson mixed with Shwayze mixed with a little Sugar Ray…that’s kind of what you get when you listen to Radical Something. Their talents all work so well together, which is possibly their greatest asset as a group. This is just their first project–the sky’s the limit for these guys. It’ll be really interesting to see how they progress, both as individual artists and as a collective in Radical Something.
Radical Something is kind enough to offer this album for free–please, if you care enough to support their music, do them the favor and buy it on iTunes.
Support good music.
