One Room – I Want You

New One Room!

Remember when The Weeknd first hit the Internet? Drake tweeted some of his song lyrics and then dropped “What You Need,” and all hell broke loose. Who is The Weeknd? Is it just one person or two? Why are we humans here on Earth? What is the meaning of 42?

Well, I think the good folks over at Heavy Roc Music are trying to “The Weeknd” One Room. And my saying that isn’t a cop out whatsoever! Try finding information on One Room! I dare you. Right now, he just has a Tumblr, which links to his Twitter (the Internet is convenient like that), and he’s tweeting mysterious things like “soon” and “today.” Oh, and did I mention this song dropped a week ago and then was taken off the Internet?! Yeah, total Abel move. So really, the only information we have on this rapper and maybe-producer is what Heavy Roc themselves have to say about him,

One Room was born in the Lower East Side. Everyone knows him but no one ever sees him. People say he grew up listening to static on his radio and eating mix tapes. When he was 10 he taught himself to play piano. They say he speaks every language and never sleeps. They say the music was inspired by cold winters and hot summers. They say it took him 20 years to make this music. They say it doesn’t sound like anything else. They say it was made in One Room.

I said, “Darkness into darkness, all the carnage of my journeys makes it harder to be living.”

She said, “It’s a long road to be forgiven.”
