Fun fact of this Monday: Obviously, Halloween. BUT, did you know that the origins of Halloween are linked to the Celtic festival of Samhain, which was thrown to celebrate summer’s end? As the day was the last one of fall, it was time for prepare for the cold months ahead. People back then also believed that this was the prime time of the year for physical and supernatural worlds to be closest to the Earth and that magical things could happen. To ward these spirits off, Gaelic folk would build huge bonfires and invoke the help of the gods through animal and even human sacrifice. WOOOO, creeepyyyyy!
