I posted Rest of Your Days by MOTM the other day, and now they’re back with a new track called Athens. This one’s a little (ok, a lot) more upbeat, and has a really cool sound to it. Almost sounds like The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” at the start, and the sound continues to grow from there.
With Pharrell as the executive producer, you can expect their upcoming album, Lightyears, to be really, really fucking epic. Like, outlandishly epic. They show off some serious variety with this song, and I have yet to hear anything from Mansions on the Moon that I haven’t thoroughly liked.
This one is incredibly catchy, and the way they harmonize their voices is really awesome. I can’t wait to see what else comes of Lightyears when it drops…hopefully very soon.
