Luxe In – Come Forward

There’s something really simple and beautiful about this song by the Leeds/Manchester indie-rock duo Luxe In. Repetition doesn’t always do it for me, but this time, it just plain works. The song makes me want to put my hair in braids, throw on some sunglasses, and take a stroll down the sidewalk of a quaint neighborhood, skipping and kicking up rocks a bit as I go.
About the song itself, which will be officially released as a single on October 17th, the press release says:
Taking equal inspiration from the 80s indie stylings of the Waitresses and the contemporary garage rock of the Vivian Girls, Come Forward sets out the band’s stall in under two minutes. An album is expected in 2012.
