Introducing: Vacationer [10 Days of Vacationer]

The purpose of Vacationer is simple: to help you relax. The NYC-based four-piece wants you to enjoy yourself in this hectic world, at least when you’re listening to their music. They want to take you on trips as they transport you with relaxing, tropical beats and quiet, charming vocals. They want to join you on your lonely vacations, and they want to soundtrack the journey, too. As Vacationer gears up for the release of their full-length debut Gone (out 3/20), they have decided to drop a song from the album every day leading up to the release. We are currently in the midst of, what the band is calling, the “10 Days of Vacationer,” which I’m hoping is a reference to one of my favorite movies ever (500) Days of Summer.
I’m in love with each of the songs that has been released so far. Maybe it’s because this week has been really stressful, and I’m just aching for a vacation. I don’t know. But what I do know is that this music is so soothing and refreshing that listening to it on a bad day is like Santa Claus handing you an ice cold Coke bottle (not can) on a blazing hot summer day. And if that comparison did not make sense to you, then we are not friends anymore.
“Vacationer…making every day a holiday.” -Vacationer’s new slogan hopefully
Bonus!
These two songs were featured on the band’s Gone EP and will also be on the new album. If you still don’t quite “get” Vacationer, just listen to “Trip.” Everything is properly explained on “Trip.”
Update!
Vacationer dropped two more tracks on their SoundCloud! Their album Gone will be out tomorrow.
