How To Dress Well – I Wish [Cover/Live Recording]
One of my favorite songs of all time is R. Kelly’s “I Wish.” Something about seeing a man step back from the fast pace of the hustle and sing a song to his mother who has passed warms my heart. Music blog YoursTru.ly invited How To Dress Well into their studio to record a live cover of “I Wish,” and though it doesn’t quite meet the level of the original, it’s a great stripped down acoustic version that is worth watching. The choice to provide very little lighting in the footage makes the video perhaps even more beautiful than it would have been with more visibility. Favorite lyrics in this song:
