“Wide Eyes” (Fools Gold Remix) [ft. Aristotle Pop a Bottle] – Local Natives

I just got a message from a friend, and when I get suggestions from this friend I consider them urgent. Meaning, surpasses all of the unread submissions in my email inbox (shhh, it’s hard being a solo blogger with a job) and there is a 99% chance that what she sends gets posted. This time, she told me I just HAD to listen to this new remix of Local Natives. Sure enough, she was right. This remix is remarkably smooth. Don’t be fooled by the heavy synth-bass start at the beginning, if heavy synth-bass isn’t your thing. Wait about 5 seconds and in pops the Local Natives’ sweet guitar sounds that just warm my heart. And have I mentioned how much I love hip hop blended with indie music? (Sarcasm, if you read this blog with any consistency.) Well this is just that. Nice verse from Aristotle Pop a Bottle, who apparently I need to pay a bit more attention to. Thank you Julia, you were right – this was an absolute must-hear.
