VIDEO: “Wavin’ Flag” – Young Artists for Haiti
You may recognize that this is K’Naan’s magical song, “Wavin’ Flag,” which has now been chosen as the official song of the World Cup. Well, producer Bob Ezrin brought together some top Canadian musical talents here (list includes K’Naan, Drake, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Kardinal Offishall, and more) and they perform K’Naan’s song….sort of reminiscent of the “Yes We Can” video that Will.I.Am put together when Obama was running for President.
I like this. It’s good. I will say, however, that I like the original song better. This just reminds me that there are types of voices that my ears don’t agree with. And Drake does nothing for me on this, except for his last line. Sorry bud, you just aren’t convincing. Go back to rapping about wanting the money, the cars, and the hoes.
