“Over” – Drake
I know this dropped last night, and in the blogging world, that’s borderline unacceptable reaction time, but I had to let it sink in before blogging in. I’m just not sure how I feel about it. But that’s how I feel about Drake’s music most of the time. It’ll grow on me, but it isn’t right off the bat that I’m able to say I love this. I will say, though, I like how Drake keeps me guessing on what words he’ll use to rhyme…most rappers will say something and I’ll think to myself, okay, the last word of the next line is going to be “[enter simple word],” but Drake keeps it dynamic and chooses words the typical rapper wouldn’t have thought of. That keeps it really appealing to me.
Anyway, here’s the joint, I’d be happy to hear yalls opinions on it. It doesn’t sound like a single to me!
