“In This Life” – Mike Stud Feat. Loggy

People are love/hate with Mike Stud. Some people see a string of punch lines and see no lyrical merit in that. Some people think his flow is on point and that he’s hilarious. Well, this track completely changes the way I think of him. This is by far the realest track he’s ever put out. Honest and open, Mike lets us in on his past. Before Mike was forced to go through Tommy John surgery, he was an All-American and a lock to be a high draft pick at Duke. Now at Georgetown, Mike is using his redshirt season not only to play baseball, but to pursue his musical dreams.

With a well produced beat sampling James Blunt, this is by far my favorite Mike Stud track to date. Loggy also puts in a great verse with some slick flow.

The video is also really well done. I like the concept of including shots of their athletic careers, which are both impressive, as Loggy is a wide receiver for Cal. I sincerely hope Mike takes his music in this direction, it is much more meaningful and much easier to relate to as a listener.
