Lykke Li is putting out a new album next week called Wounded Rhymes. Though I was sure today would be a quiet day from artists other than Thom Yorke, Lykke has proved me wrong. Good thing is, this song is so worth the little misstep. It’s pretty bold to release a single on the same day as a Radiohead single, but Lykke is entitled to that. She’s sort of got the indie world wrapped around her finger right now, because every song she puts out is so loveable. This one is a bit slower than most of her others, and in fact it makes me tear up a bit.
In case any of you who are invested in Pigset get nervous when you hear the name Lykke Li, in fear of her coming between the love of two bloggers, fear not. Confusion and I have amicably agreed that if Cudder or Lykke comes along, arrangements will be made without hurting anybody’s feelings. Keep doing your thing, Lykke. I’m cool with you.
