“The Persuaded” – Faded Paper Figures
I’ve been posting a lot of hip hop recently, so I’m switching it up to some indie-ish electropoprock (that may be a made up term, but I like it because it reminds me of Poprocks-amazing candy). Things I love about this song: The switch up of sounds between verses. Yes, it sounds very produced, but I actually think it works perfectly for this song. Makes his voice sound very intimate. Sort of like somebody’s talking right into your ear so you can hear every accented note and move of the mouth. Also, listen to the lyrics…they’re actually brilliant. On top of those three things, I just enjoy the music a lot.
Just persuade me that everything’s alright
