Kid Cudi & Ratatat perform “Pursuit of Happiness” live on David Letterman.

Alright, so. I got some thoughts to spill here. I love the live band. I love how good they sound live. And that you know it’s live because there are some differences here and there between the official and the performed versions. But dear lord, Cudder…don’t get too theatrical on me! The hand motions gotta go-I wanna see you on your normal grind, dancing! Not to say this song is a banger that you’re gonna go all out dancing to, but don’t move the crowd with your hands only. Please. Remember half the art of being a musician is performance. But man, this aint theater. You’re emo, but not thattttt emo are you? Please stick to your normal thing, ya dig?

Oh and I almost forgot—where’s MGMT? They are part of what makes this song so great!

Anyway, forgive my criticism. Still a fan, just gotta keep things straight.
