“Breakeven” – The Script
Strange story about this song. I heard it from a friend and liked it the first time I heard it. It came on shuffle every now and then on my iTunes and I didn’t really pay much attention to what I was listening to, but one day it came on and I realized just how great it was and how much I liked it. Fast forward a month or two. My boyfriend took me to a Paul McCartney concert, so I asked him who the opener was. He said it was some group he had never heard of, so I think nothing of it. So we’re in line getting beers and I hear a song playing that I’m pretty sure I recognize. All the sudden I realize it’s Breakeven by The Script…they opened for the Paul McCartney concert. That’s sort of a big deal.
Nit-picky opinion my part here, but I sort of wish their name was something other than The Script. I think it’s a little too generic and that took part in me not remembering how much I liked the song. I wish it was something a bit more unique or catchy.
